Salam,

I am contemplating if situation allows, to go to umrah next year. Has anyone recently been that want to share some stories?

It is the duty of Muslims to love and respect the Family of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) because the Holy Prophet has said in a hadith, “When I am loved, then my family members, whom I love should also be loved.” (Tirmidhi)

I have not been, but have heared some great stories from people have been. They always tell me that when you go and you are faced with the Kaaba and Masjid un nabwi, words cannot describe what the heart feels at that time!

I also want to experience this!

Salaam,

Did you read up on what the different acts you needed to perform before you went to Mecca or did you improvise and follow the rest of the muslims?

Also when doing tawaaf, do men and women mix together? If no, is there a time and place when men and women do not mix together when performing any of the acts that form parts Hajj?

Finally, what is it that actually makes Hajj a life changing experience?

Asalaamu alaikum

Alhumdulillah I had the blessing of performing Hajj in 1998 and Umrah in 1999. Both journeys were beautiful, especially the visits to Madinah al-Munawarrah. Great to see all the Muhibe Rasool (saaw) paying thier salaams and making thier supplications at the blessed Roza Mubarak. Jannate Baqi, Masjid Nabwi, the different ziyaaraat, beautiful muslims black, white , Asian, Far Eastern, Arabs old and young, rich and poor from all over the world. Brilliant stuff! I think one of the saddest things about the whole thing however is how the Wahabi Government has desecrated so much of the heritage and are trying to impose thier deviance on the visitors. We ask Allah (swt) to accept our visits there and we ask Him (swt) to give us all the blessings of visiting the Holy Sanctuaries and we ask Him (swt) to grant the Ahlus Sunnah victory in taking back the Holy Sanctuaries. Ameen.

May The Peace Of Allah (swt) Be Upon Sayyiddina Muhammad His Family, His Companions and Those Who Follow Them Until The Day Of Judgement. Wasalaam Ghulam e Meeran Qadri Jilani
