Salam

What do you think about secular education systems? i.e should the state be separate from religion

Aslam alikum

I think that secular education is good; otherwise if you went to school in the UK, you would be brought up with catholic/protestant values. Religion is a personal matter and is more appropriate in ones personal life.

Salam

I think that there should be some fusion between the state and religion. This is possible in Islamic countries, where I think that religion should be involved when teaching the youth. However, some people would say that there is a conflict here because in essence religion should not be forced on anyone whereas education should.

salaam brothers/sisters

in my opinion home scholing is not a good option because she would not know much about the world as she will if she goes to a normal school. if she goes to a normal school then you should make arrangment for her to go to the local mosque so she can also learn islam. these days all islamic schools are run by wahabis and ahle hadith so i will advise anyone who wants to send their daughter to a islamic school not to but sent them to a proper sunni mosque after school, that way she could learn the deen and be prepeared for the world.

Salam,

This is an intresting problem, in the Uk, I think it is important to go to a normal school because this is still a Christian nation.

Anyone trying to interact with the public will find it harder without having experiences learnt at school.

However, Islamic classes should be taught in mosques to teach our children, the true meanig of Islam.
