Salam everybody,

Interesting points, I suppose it's up to you if you want to sent your kids to a different school. I studied at a normal school, there was plenty of muslims about so I did not feel left out. If the only school near by has got very few muslims I think Its abettewr Idea to send the child to a Islamic school even if it a bit further away. Without other muslims to copy your kid will likely to pick up western culture and ideals.

Bringing up Children in Islam: Written by Shaykh Abdullah Naasih Ulwaan and published by Darul Ishaat, this is one of the popular Islamic books with informative and helpful ways to raising good Muslim children. It is an adaptation of the popular Arabic book "Tarbiyat al-awlad fi al-Islam" and covers in depth almost all facets of the subject in a simple and concise way.
