A muslim man can marry a non-muslim (Christian or Jew) without any restriction! How can there be restriction if QUran (i believe, but could be wrong) permits them to marry! However at this day and age.. one must really be deluded and stupid (sorry!) to do such a thing and in fact this is the reason why so many sunni scholars will not MARRY such people or give permission to!

Just imagine a muslim man and a christian wife; what sort of problems could there be! One problem is your child, his/her upbringing (wearing skirts, no strict upbringing ie morality, girlfriend/boyfriend issues, alcohol, pork etc...) and would you as a muslim ALLOW that? I certainly wouldnt! and in many cases muslim men who do this, become weak themselves ie lose their faith!

Case in hand: I have heard/seen many times when this happens:

1. The children would be eating pork and man doesnt do anything!!!!
2. Children are so "modern" that they are having girlfriends/bfriends etc..
3. drink alcohol...
4. Man is a muslim just for names-sakes!

Oh and none of this applies to Mr Shah rukh kan because he had an ilham whereby permission was given to him for marrying a hindu (note my sarcasm here!)
