Salaam brothers and sisters,

Reuters news agency has reported, the Head of Al Azhar University Sheikh Tantawi dies in Saudia Arabia yesterday of a heart attack

Sheikh Tantawi has often been a focus of controversy in the news and amongst some muslims, but what are your views on Sheikh Tantawi?

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun

It is the duty of Muslims to love and respect the Family of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) because the Holy Prophet has said in a hadith, “When I am loved, then my family members, whom I love should also be loved.” (Tirmidhi)

Asalaamualikum wa rahmatullahi

I think its a little unfair that people are always going on about the Saudis this and the Saudis that. If they have done some wrong, then they have done alot of good also and i am of the opinion that the good which they have done, far outweighs the bad. Who else could have made hajj and umrah so easy for visitors and is it not a good thing that they are keeping people on TAWHEED? yes there have been ups and downs but thats the case with every country is it not? It is the sole Islamic country in the world so strongly propagates the deen according to Quran and Sunnah.

wasalam
