Asalam Alaykum SAIFI, I am pleased to read that you are at school and reading Salah at a young age, I think a lot of people can take note of this and also do the same.

If you are 100% convinced that they are wahabi, then I believe you are right not to pray behind them, instead if you can initiate a jamaat seperately or individually read salah by yourself, this will be better for you.

We the ahle sunnah wal jammah will not compromise our beliefs in Islam and will continue to remain on the haq, despite criticism from misguided groups. You only have to read through the various threads on this site about wahabisim or speak to learnerd ulema on the haq about the fitna the wahabies have created. Furthermore only Allah knows whether someones salah is accepted, these devients (wahabies) have openely disrespected the Holy Prophet (saw), the ahle bait, past righlty guided ulema not to mention their own ulema, propogate the use of suicide bombings, kill innocent people daily. I know I would not read behind them in fear that my Salah may not be accepted. Look at it another way, if someone slapped your dad or mum in the face, would you continue to sit and be friends with them? Disrespecting Hazoor Pak is more than that, and we cannot and will not associate with these devients unless they do taubah and come to the haq.

So it is right for you to raise this question and understand where the land lies, but please do not take this to mean that you can now go and challenge the wahabies to a munazara or debate, furthermore do not get drawn into any acts of violence etc. Remain steadfast on the haq and inshallah come and speak to the rightly guided ulema of the ahle sunnah wal jamaah. Be free to come to Daraloum Qadri Jilania and speak to Syed Mazar Hussain Sha Saab student of Mufakir-E-Islam DR Syed Pir Abdul Qadir Jilani at your earliest convenience for education on deen.

Salam,

I am in concurrence with the views brother Qadri blessed has put forward. People who hold views that belittle the Prophet pbuh have no right to lead prayer and it is the duty of each muslim to enquire the views of the Imam they read behind. This is because on the day of judgement Allah will ask you about your prayers. If your prayers are not accepted you will need to demonstrate to your Lord that you enquired about the imam who lead the prayer. Why run the risk of reading behind a possible deviant? However, if you are satisfied that the views held by the imam are righteous then it is permissible to read so.

In some cases we know that the imam leading the prayer is a deviant for instance in Makkah. Reading behind the imam of makkah is not permissible as they hold such deviant beliefs. It may prove to be difficult not to read prayer behind the imam and if this is the case you should reperform the prayer.

When Banu Ummayyah were toppled by the Abbassids they tortured members of Ahle Bayt. At this time Imam Malik ra lived in Madinah and once discovered this was the case he completely refrained from reading the friday prayer in Masjid nabawi. This was due to the beliefs held by the Abbasids. If the prayer was permitted to read behind a deviant then why did Imam Malik ra not read the Friday prayer in masjid nabawi? I will get the citation for you very soon.

May Allah keep us on the straight path

Maximus

Salaam, this issue is also taking place at my school can someone please sort out this mas'ala with definitive proof that I can give to the opposing sect. I have been trying to find proof for this for about a year and a half but haven't hit no luck, so momentarily in my mind it seems permissable to read behind anyone, even shia. Urgent daleel/advice needed. Can I ask for short to the point answer please (no copy-paste plz-much appreciated). Walaahu Talaa Alam. Jazakallah.

Salam brother,

There is no such thing as a short to the point answer if you are asking for daleel. The short answer would be if you feel you are justified in reading namaz behind devients then that is your Prerogative!

You have obviously spent a lot of time searching (1.5 yrs), but what have you been searching for, did you not see what current & past ulema have said on the subject notably Ala Hazrat on this matter?

More to come Inshallah
