From your question it was not evident that you already had a pre-determined answer, also the agreement with every muslim is that shirk is THE MAJOR sin that will not be forgiven by Allah (swt) no matter who you are. Ultimately it is Allah (swt) who decides who is forgiven or who is not and who goes to heaven and who goes to hell.

Just to ensue we are reading from the same page, shirk is defined in the Quran 2:165 "Yet of mankind are some who take unto themselves (objects of worship which they set as) rivals to Allah".

It is the duty of Muslims to love and respect the Family of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) because the Holy Prophet has said in a hadith, “When I am loved, then my family members, whom I love should also be loved.” (Tirmidhi)

By the way syed does mean a direct descendent of the prophet, dosen't it? (please correct if I am wrong).

1) Yes Sayed does mean direct descendant (bloodline) of the holy prophet (saw)!

2) It is brutal lunacy to continue on this subject whilst brother qadri blessed has already articulated and I agree such hypothetical questions should not be given airtime on the basis that it is absolutely absurd to question whether anyone could go to heaven or hell. This is a matter for Allah to decide and no one else!

Therefore I urge the moderator to lock this post, unless there is a burning desire to continue with such a ludicrous question.

I will not be locking the topic purley due to the fact that so far there has not been any unsavoury comments or remarks. As soon as we start witnessing such things the topic will either be locked or the offenders will be reprimanded.

With regards to daleel brother Ubaidullah what is it exactly you wanted the daleel for? Because I am not sure what you meant when you requested daleel regarding comments about Syeds. Are you of the opinion that they can if they commit shirk or they wont go even if they commit shirk? Please clarify.
