I think that if you really want a good channel than i think you have to put a lot of different kind of languages for example, persian , turkish ,arabic, french , dutch, german, spanish as well as the indonesian language where there are a lot of muslims.because then u won't only attrack the people of the subcontinent but also other people. and if they cant do that then at least there should me more lectures in arabic because then they can counter attack the najdis who are deceiving a lot of people. At the end of the point the tv channels should create more awareness for differnt people.

I hope u can put it forward to the sunni tv team.

Salam,

Tell me why you want to know about viewership stats and its relevance to this thread???

I think that this is a VALID question!! and if you are stating WHY? then you need to do some more research! If say 100 people watch sunnitv on DM DIgitial then why spend so much money creating a new channel for just those 100 people? (as an example!)

I am not even sold to the idea of pouring money on a channel (ie sunniTV on DM) let alone creating a whole new channel spending money there!

Why couldnt us sunni work together ie with Noor TV, QTV, channel on 828 and 838? thats four channels already? If I am a sunni which channel should I watch? too many = division of audiences!

And wouldnt the money be better spent on fixing up the dar-ul-aloom... creating pamphlets asking people to come to the MOSQUE.. start educating your local area.. if that is not in order then there is no or little point educating (or trying to) the world! Think about it.. the 10,000 that you spend on DM could just as easily be used for marketing, NEW classes on darul-aloom, upgrading the dar-ul-aloom.. and so on.. How many classes are being done there? TWO one on thursday and one on friday... and where are all of the people? they are not attending!!

We all know we should be making the mosques ALIVE and starting these channals is NOT making the mosques alive, they are making the mosques dead!

In conclusion: Spend money on
- fixing up dar-ul-aloom
- getting the locals to ATTEND
- more classes (on different subjects)
- trying to make alive the dar-ul-aloom

then afterwards think about opening the channel!

These are my opinions & no offence is intended

that is valid what u are saying but i am just suggesting that it doesn't matter which channel it is . it should be more multicultiral then only urdu , bengali and a bit english .

and what u said about developing a better education centre in the darul uloom is really good thing to start with . we should use the tactics too atract the younger generation .
