The British Foreign Secretary David Miliband became the first high profile non Muslim Government dignitary to attend Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrations in East London town of Walthamstow on Sunday.

During the gathering in Walthamstow Town Hall, David Milliband was given the opportunity by the great scholar, Mufakir e Islam, to address the thousands in attendance, and has been quoted to saying "this event has been the largest event for Milad un Nabi in Europe", and praised Mufakir e Islam for leading a great and successful event unprecedented on this scale in the west.

Videos of the event are available within the sunnisonline video section and through the various mainstream asian television networks who will be replaying the event (times & dates will be made available soon).

A truly great successful occassion/event for us all!

It is the duty of Muslims to love and respect the Family of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) because the Holy Prophet has said in a hadith, “When I am loved, then my family members, whom I love should also be loved.” (Tirmidhi)
