Ubaidullah brother, I think some posts are missing that were on here, probably been accidentally deleted some how...

I did remember the reply following your comment that celebrating milad is biddah. In order for further discussion, can you advise whether you hold the opinion that all biddah is wrong or you believe biddah can also be good? Please also refer back to previous posts on biddah.... http://www.sunnisonline.com/Forums/tabid/84/forumid/15/threadid/76/scope/posts/threadpage/3/Default.aspx

No where in the Quran does it say that you cannot celebrate milad, therefore how do you deduce the fact in your opinion that it is wrong and should not do, there is countless evidences on this thread deducing why we believe it is allowed, but you have not provided any to refuute?

I think brother maximus also touched on the point that the Sahabas (ra) had the benefit of seeing the Prophet (Saw) on a daily basis therefore everyday for them was one of Ibadat & Milad. Do you not recollect the hadiths how the sahabas did not let one drop of water go wasted from the jism of beloved prophet (saw) during wudu and would rub it over themselves what water they caught in their hands, the sahabas were not reprimanded for this action. Because of the sheer love of the prophet (saw), so why when we do Milad to openely show our love why do people condem it?

Allah says in Surah Fatir (35:36) "And for those who have disbelieved there is the Fire of Hell: neither will , it be decreed that they should die, nor will the torment of Hell be lightened for them in any way. Thus do We requite every disbeliever."

In reference to the above surah can you tell me why Abu Lahabs punishment is reduced as narrated in Sahih Bukhari?
