O’ King of Jilan!

Help me O’ King of Jilan!
Assist me O’ King of Jilan!

I cry your name when in need,
I run to you to make my plea.
Save me O’ King of Jilan!
From the evil, the plot, the najdi plan.

In time of this calamity,
protection is in your sanctuary.
You are my helper, you are my shelter,
against the najdis, so I do not falter

Help me O’ King of Jilan!
Assist me O’ King of Jilan!

Chaste is the blood in your veins,
your status no wali can attain.
You’re tranquility and enchanting ease,
the cure the remedy of every disease.

An excellent guide indeed you are,
my Pir my Murshid, indeed you are.
Fill me with your wisdoms speak,
bless my heart from your wilayats peak.

Help me O’ King of Jilan!
Assist me O’ King of Jilan!

Doomed is he who does not summon thee,
on Judgment day he will not flee
Mediate for me O’ King of Jilan!
Save this slave in the Divine plan!

Asalaamualikum wa rahmatullahi

this is the first posting on this forum. i wish to know, are you seriously believing in the poem you have posted? it's full of shirk bro and thats not what the message of Islam teaches. i do not have that much Islamic knowledge or wordly for that matter but i know when we recite al-Fatiha "You alone we worship and you alone we seek for help."why do you clearly contradict yourself? You are calling upon Abdul Qadir Jilani. he never even HIMSELF asked you to call upon him and yet thats what you do. Is this not a case of clear SHIRK? lets not fall into the trap of shaytaan like previous Ummahs did. many of these beliefs and customs have slowly found their way into our deen from our non muslim forefathers. of course there was much of it, especially in the subcontinent where many of our forefathers became muslim from hindus and sikhs and still carried over their old practices. i hope i mhave not offended any body. i just want to talk about this if there is anybody there who can have a decent open chat. i am not in the habit of name calling behind a computer screen and dont expect the same from any body here. let us chat on an ilmi stage where we present proofs rather than accusations and name calling. And these proofs must be from Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet (saw). I await a reply.

Wasalaam.

Dear only_tawheed

It is evident from your comments that knowledge, be Islamic or commonsense, is distant from you. The questions you have raised are elementary and can easily be answered. But before I give you a detailed Islamic answer, could you please identify yourself so that I can best satisfy you? What is your Islamic education? What are your beliefs? Who are the Islamic scholars whom you follow or consider as authorities?

Just to appeal to your commonsense. From the verse you quoted, you imply that asking help from anyone beside Allah is Shirk, right? But have you not yourself ever needed or asked help from anyone in your life? Maybe a doctor, a father, a mother, a brother, a relative, a teacher, an imam, a friend or even a colleague? If yes, have you not been committing shirk?

Dear brother Umaer.

why should i have to identify my self to get best satisfied? Surely identifying oneself is not a prerequisite to getting proof for a particular action or belief. What are my beliefs? I believe in the ONENESS of Allah (swt), His Angels, HIS Books, His Prophets(as), Last day, everything good or bad comes from Allah (swt) and I believe in life after death. Thats all you need to know about my beliefs. And when you ask "what is your Islamic education". it seems to me that you expect EVERYBODY to have an Islamic education which clearly is not the case. I am just studying a few books and I sit with people who follow Quran and Sunnah. there is nothing further than that. As far as scholars are concerned, i only take from those who provide the best possible evidence on a particular issue. Anything else we leave.

I have never asked help from anybody who has no power to help me. yes of course I will ask my friends to help me. like for example if i need to push start my car. However if my friend is dead or living in another country and i am alone, i will ask Allah to help me. I know you will say otherwise and that is what i need you to provide evidence for me. Even the Sahaba asked for this kind of help. but i need authentic evidence which suggests they CALLED UPON OTHER THAN ALLAH(swt).

Wasalam.

Oh but my friend, Identifying yourself is a prerequisite before one gets into polemics.
You insist on keeping your own credentials a secret…now that is a tad silly don’t you agree. One only does that when one is only blowing air and has nothing of substance to throw at another. Like a degree perhaps or maybe an ijaza, possibly even a text book.
You see one needs to clear the venue and set the grounds before any activity and in your case you need to state where you are coming from.
Your own self description is also the same a follower of Louis Farrakhan or Mirza Ghulam Ahmed would say. You can hardly call these people Muslims right? Much less get into a debate on how long ones trousers should be in the Sunnah. Likewise after knowing your background or lack of one we will be in a position to better educate/sorry discuss with you the fine details and nuances of Usool and there relative understandings.

We are not assuming you have a well rounded Islamic education but simply asking to what level you have or haven’t. That is not being too unresonable don’t you think?

However you, my friend are being very unreasonable. You come on to this forum. Try to rip apart a most beautiful poem with out a shred of evidence. (Quoting a Quranic Ayah with out its commentary is not good enough) and then have the nerve to say “show me the evidence.” Friend, it is YOU who needs to show credible evidence with multiple back-ups and with no gaps or flaws in it for us to listen to you and take you seriously.

You mentioned in your post that you take from the strongest position. That sounds like a Mujtahid to me. I dare say you don’t even know the Usool’s that will enable you to derive ruling based on what you call “strongest evidence.”
Put simply, I think you are of the Wahabi/Najadi persuasion and as such understand your misgivings but still you need to come with evidence before we can challenge it.
Hope all is well and you have not found this to offend you. Although sweating (if occurring) is normal.
We humbly await your reply or lack of a reply.
Forever yours truly
