Dear only_tawheed, your clearly missing the BIG picture here. I have already proved to you by Quranic verses that asking help from other then Allah is permissible. In fact you have already admitted to this.

Now it is your turn, YOU have to prove YOUR claim!

You claim that the verse; “You alone we worship and You alone we seek for help” (1:4), sanctions seeking help from the living and not from the dead.

I want You to prove it as it is NOT CLEAR from the verse!

Furthermore, you have already admitted the Prophets and Martyrs as ALIVE, which means according to your understanding there should be no problem asking them for help. However I have registered your objection to the Prophets and Martyrs God given power to help. This is in reality, as I have stated earlier a separate issue, and we are talking about the action of asking for help being Shirk or not.

What you are doing now is starting to play the victim role, beating around the bush and talking of a one way traffic. Your view of this issue is directed by preconceived ideas and believes brainwashed into your head. That is why I wanted you to identify yourself, so it becomes clear who the programmer is. For this discussion to be fruitful and continue further you need to answer the aforementioned claim and the following questions.

3.What is the connection between the body and soul after death?
NOT YET ANSWERED

4.Can dead people listen?
NOT YET ANSWERED

I have generously forgiven you the first question on the revelation of Sura Fatiha. Regarding the hadiths, if you have problems accepting them, just leave them aside for now. Insha Allah in time we will discuss them also and I will give you their isnad. At the moment you’re stuck on the Quran, and hadith as a proof comes only after the Quran. If something can be proven from the Quran then hadith can only complement it and not contradict it.

Brothers, it is great that the matter of permissibilty of calling upon the dead is clear . However, I find it hard to accept the term 'Ghawth Al-Azam', surely this phrase must have a traces of shirk from our perspective. Can someone please clear this mas'ala with a clear and concise answer. I want to clear any of my misconceptions, or present the evidence to my sheikh. Jazakallah.

Salam brother Ubaidullah Waleed,

Can you elaborate on your post, from your perspective when does shirk become actvive or been committed?

Jazakallah

It is the duty of Muslims to love and respect the Family of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) because the Holy Prophet has said in a hadith, “When I am loved, then my family members, whom I love should also be loved.” (Tirmidhi)
