Youth Participation

Assalam-u-Alaikum. Brothers i am a revert and MashAllah i feel alot of peace in my life now that i am being taught a lot of right teachings that are vivid and make me feel a lot better. I have some across this website and it has attracted me the way brothers are helping each other out by answering questions for one another and the articles etc. Which brings me to my point. I grew up as a christian and i used to do all haram acts such as drinking. I was confronted my some muslim men who helped me out, now its been 3 months since i reverted. Every gathering i have attended all i see is the adults preaching and helping i don't see the youth getting involved. I myself am 19 and everywhere i go i seem to be the only youth member there. Is there any youth events run by the sunnisonline team? Because i believe that the youth is the way foward. The elder generation have done their bit now it is our turn to help serve islam. FIRSTLY CAN I CONGRATULATE YOU FOR EMBRACING ISLAM. MAY ALLAH BRING YOU HAPPINESS AND KEEP YOU ON THIS AHLE SUNNAT WAL JAMMAT PATH. FROM YOUR MESSAGE YOU MENTIONED THAT THERE ISNT ANYTHING FOR THE YOUTH.

THE MASJID ( mosque) WHICH I ATTEND HAVE WEEKLY CLASSES. ESPECIALLY ON MONDAY WE HAVE AN ISLAMIC CLASS LEAD BY A GREAT SCHOLAR OF OUR TIME AND DECENDANT OF THE HOLY PROPHET MUHAMMAED (SAW) . SYED MAZHAR HUSSAIN GILANI. THROUGH HIS EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE AND THEN ADVOCATING IT IN SIMPLE TERMS FOR US YOUTH IN ENGLISH HAS BROUGHT INTEREST FROM FAR AND NEAR.

WEEKLY WE HAVE A YOUTH GATHERING OF 80 - 100 PEOPLE INCLUDING SOME ELDERS. HOWEVER THIS CLASS IS FOR THE YOUTH AND WE TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF ITS BOUNTY. EVERY MONDAY AT TRURO ROAD E17 JUST OFF ERSKINE ROAD. FIRST LEFT WHEN YOU ENTER ERSKINE ROAD THROUGH THE MARKET.

INSHALLAH THROUGH THIS MESSAGE MANY OF MY BROTHER WILL ATTEND AND BRING THERE MOTHERS AND SISTERS ( SEPERATE ARRANGEMENTS FOR LADIES). AND LEARN IN ENGLISH AND URDU THE TRUE TEACHING OF THE AHLE SUNNAT WAL JAMMAT. SO BROTHER THIS IS AN OPEN INVITATION TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. Brother Alhumdullilah i have been guided to the right path. Thank you very much for your generousity i will be looking foward to attending these because i am young and what is the future? It is the younger generation who are the future to spread the word of Islam. So thank you very much brother for the invite.

SubhanAllah, a class taught by a descendant of our beloved Prophet(Pbuh) that is very fasinating. Im sure you and the fellow brothers are very happy and feel lukcy to be under such presence. May Allah Swt be pleased with the imam for doing work with the youth- because so far this is the first time i have heard anyone committing time especially in the evenings for the youth.

Also you have mention above 'ahle sunnat wal jamat' i have herd of Sunni and Shiate muslims, what is the path you have mentioned mean and teach.

Salaam,

First of all I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you for choosing Islam as your way of life. May Allah guide us all the ability to learn and follow the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet (pbuh) - Ameen.

As qadri 786 has stated, we do have an islamic class every monday under the teaching of the descendant of the beloved Prophet (pbuh) Hazrat Allama Syed Mazhar Shah Sahib Jilani. This class has been running for many years now. It started of as a very small class and Alhumdulilah now we have increasing numbers every week.

As to your question of 'Who are Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat'? I will give indeed a very brief introduction. Ahle Sunnat Wal Jammat is the largest group of Muslims and the only group whose beliefs and teachings are truly in accordance with the Holy Quran and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (pbuh). The beliefs of this group are the same as the beliefs of the Sahaba or noble companions of the Holy Prophet (pbuh).

I once again congratulating you on choosing Islam as your way of life and InshAllah it will benefit you in the best way possible. InshAllah.

JazakAllah, If i didn't revert i don't think i would have ever felt so peaceful in my life Alhumdullilah.

Brother MashAllah this sound really and truelly appealing, u lot are first to be Guided by a imam whom is a descendant of our Beloved Prophet(Pbuh) and to be in a group who has a strong depth of knowledge backed up by greatness, MashAllah it is very heart warming. Brother if this is just a brief i would love for it to be elaborated. JazakAllah.

Also, a thought runs through my mind about the people of Saudi Arabia. Would'nt they have a great source of knowledge as the House of Allah (SWT) is there and just in general the History of Both Makkah & Madina. Please if i could be given a reply to this it would be great help.JazakAllah
