Assalaamu-alaukum, brothers I'm finding it difficult to find a university course that suits me. I was wondering if any brothers could guide me towards a good university that offers islamic and arabic studies. I am currently a student in college and have no one that can advise me on this topic. how ar u, hope r fine, there are many sunni islamic centres in every town in the UK, contact your local sunni masjid

sorry bro, as far as i know the universities that do islamic studies teach the wahabbi version of islam so before you apply find out what they teach. jazakallah , ill ask a few friends to get info from thier uni and let you know if there are any that teach sunni islam.

I only think a few universities promote wahabism (like cardiff where the head of Islamic Studies is Bilal Phillips). However other universites take a neutral viewpoint and usually even teach sufism as a whole subject, making it about 25% of the course. The head of Cambridge University Islamic Studies has a speech on the permissability of celebrating mawlid on the videos section of sunnisonline. However I do not what is required for entry to any university
