Fayyaz bro, your point about Hind is not disputed, you can also relate the story of khalid bin waleed (ra), who became muslim after fighting muslims.

Looking at Yazzed in greater detailand you say in your own words that his aqidah was correct...well lets take a look at that then!

After the martyrdom of Al-Imam Al-Husayn (alaihi assalaam), Yazeed said that he wish that his elders would have seen it, how they now were equal to what happened at the Battle of Badr [the Muslims killed his Kuffar relatives]. Yazeed said it’s all a game and that Banu Hashim and Rasulullah (sall’Allahu alaihi wa aalihi wassalaam) only played with it. He fooled you, it was all about rulership! There was no kitab revealed, nothing! In Sawa'iq, Ibn Hajr declares that this is why Yazeed is Kafir!

This incident can be read about in Al-Bidaya wa'l-Nihaya by Ibn Katheer in the chapter on the head of Husayn (alaihi assalaam). Also read Tarikh at-Tabari.
Minhaj al-Sunnah by Ibn Taymiyya or any of the other tens of books it's been recorded in. In many of these books you will also find that when it comes to drinking sharab, Yazeed said, if it's haram in Muhammad's deen, then drink it according to the Christian deen.

In al-Tabqaat al-Kubra, with a chain from sahabi Hadhrat Abdullah bin Hanzala (Ghaseel al-Malaika) it says that Yazeed bin Mu’awiyah is such an evil person who does zina with his mothers and sisters and we feared that Allah might rain stones on us. The following books discuss his zina with his mothers and sisters. Ibn al-Jawzi, wrote in his Al-Muntazam that not only did Yazeed concider it lawful, but he also married muharramat. One can also read about it in Al-Tabqaat al-Kubra, Suyuti's Tarikh al-Khulafa, Sawa’iq Muhriqa by Ibn Hajr, Al-mustadrak al-Sahihain, al-Isaba, Tarikh ibn Asakir, Tarikh Aslam by Dhahabi.

Ibn Al-Jawzi reported from Qadi Abu Ya'la that he reported in his book "Al Mu'tamad" through a chain leading to Salih Ibn Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, that he said: I told my father (Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal) that people say that we love Yazeed. He (Imam Ahmad) said, "My son, does anyone who loves Allah bear love for Yazeed? Why would anyone hesitate to send curses on him (Yazeed), he who was cursed by Allah in His Book". I said: "Where did Allah curse him in His Book?" He(Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal) replied, "fa hal 'asaytum in tawallaytum an tufsidu fi'l ardi wa tuqatti'u arhamakum. Uläiyka'l ladhina la'nahumullah fa asammahum wa a'ma absarahum [Surah Muhammad, V.22-23] "Then, do you expect that if you were given the rule of the land to cause evil and mischief on earth and severe the bonds of kinship? These are the ones whom Allah has cursed and made them deaf and blinded their sight"
Imam Ahmad said, "Is there any harm or evil bigger than this murderers?"

It is the duty of Muslims to love and respect the Family of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) because the Holy Prophet has said in a hadith, “When I am loved, then my family members, whom I love should also be loved.” (Tirmidhi)

Mashallah, Brother I must congratulate you by collating all the sources and forming this argument that Yazeed Lanati is a kaafir. Those who have the love for the Prophet (pbuh) would not hesitate to call this killer an infidel.

To attain caliphate by any means he murdered the true inheritor of this coveted position.

Qadri blessed may Allah reward you.

Maximus

I must side with Ghulaam and the rest of the right-minded Muslims on this; Yazeed Laanti is a Kaafir. Moreover, from the grave nature of Yazeed's (L.A.) irreprehensible actions against the blood of the Prophet (S.A.W), against the sanctity of the family of the Prophet (S.A.W) and Islam itself, one can firmly discern (noting this is a matter only for Allah SWT to determine) that the punishment imparted to Yazeed (L.A.) will rank amongst the most severe on the Day of Judgement.

The question I therefore now ask is, if as a matter of law, will a person (the "Proponent of Yazeed") who condones, justifies, misrepresents or mitigates the acts of Yazeed (L.A.) be reprimanded for such an action? In addition, as Yazeed L.A. was and died as a Kaafir (as established beyond any doubt earlier in this thread), will a Proponent of Yazeed be held liable for persisting, now obstinately, in calling Yazeed L.A. a Muslim?

Brother JC who is Ghulam??

On a serious note, with all said, I think from my personal (un-educated) opinion I would like to stay quite about making any such strong statements about those supporters of yazeed or certainly liken them to yazeed, unless it is made abundantly clear by our scholars that it is ok to do so.

The Yazeed issue is clear from past and current scholors on his status or lack of it i should add on Yazeed.

Jazakallah

Apologies, I intended to agree with the stance you, Qadri Blessed, adopted and pursued.

I disagree that I have made any strong statement about a Proponent of Yazeed or likened such a person to Yazeed L.A. - I merely posed the question as to the ramification, if any, upon a Proponent of Yazeed where he condones, justifies, misrepresents or mitigates the actions of Yazeed L.A. and/or otherwise persists in obstinance to calling Yazeed L.A. a Muslim.
